Recycled Greenhouse!

We are hoping to build a recycled greenhouse from 1500 2litre plastic bottles. Lyndhurst junior School have helped launch the bottle appeal by donating over 200 bottles on their recent visits to teh field. Any bottles to help us in this project would be greatly appreciated. Either drop them in at the field or we can collect.

A Mole In A Hole!

From time to time we get visiting moles & this one just happened to surface by our barn. Apparently the Star-nosed Mole can detect, catch and eat food faster than the human eye can follow (under 300 milliseconds), our's looks a little sleepy!

Nesting Ducks On The Farm

We discovered a nesting neck in the raised beds amongst the bright lights chard. She had laid her eggs & chosen to nest amongst us.

Sadly one morning when we checked the nest she had gone leaving the eggs behind. So we took them to a nearby broody hen to try & keep them warm but no ducklings came about :(
