Green Light For Education Centre
Designed by Wyatt Design and Build (based in Chidham) the new building will be built out of straw bales with a living green wall and roof, solar panels, ground source heating, rain water harvesting and (importantly!) permanent toilets – all designed using locally sourced materials and skills, to be beautiful and have minimum impact on the environment. Tuppenny Barn will be able to increase the number of school and community visits and offer a fantastic venue for its own programme of courses and for hire by the local community.

Happy Potato Digging!
Year 1 from St Albans Primary School, Havant visited us for a day in October & helped to dig the sarpo potato crop as one of their activities.
They were asked if they would like to dig up one of the plants & ended up clearing the entire bed!
St Albans Primary School Visit
Back in October Year 1 visited for a tour of Tuppenny Barn.
Blessed with glorious weather we were able to picnic outside after showing them all the sustainable working practises employed at the field.
They then participated in potato digging, paper potter making for sowing their pea seeds & playing the rubbish recycling game.
