Designed by Wyatt Design and Build (based in Chidham) the new building will be built out of straw bales with a living green wall and roof, solar panels, ground source heating, rain water harvesting and (importantly!) permanent toilets – all designed using locally sourced materials and skills, to be beautiful and have minimum impact on the environment. Tuppenny Barn will be able to increase the number of school and community visits and offer a fantastic venue for its own programme of courses and for hire by the local community.

The granting of permission now enables us to commence fund raising for the construction followed by the build phase that could take as little as 5 months. >
